Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Project Management Specialist for our client located in Montgomery, AL.

This position is onsite in Montgomery, AL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

  • Responsible for project documentation and program deliverables.
  • The Project Analyst is expected to act as a liaison between the MES division and the service and module vendor teams.
  • This Project Analyst will support coordination and communication associated with various aspects of the program to include deliverables status reports, performance reviews, meetings and program resources. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 Years of experience as a Project Analyst or assisting Project Managers
  • 1 – 2 years of Experience with multi-vendor projects
  • 3 – 5 years of experience as a technical writer
  • Expert/Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office products including MS Project and SharePoint
  • 1-2 years’ experience in establishing, managing and organizing SharePoint sites
  • Perform standard project functions such as creating documents, presentations, scheduling meetings, producing meeting minutes, distributing reports, track artifacts, creates and tracks issues and action items, etc.
  • Understanding of multiple project methodologies
  • Maintain project assets, communications and track items to completion
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and management processes for multi-module platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management skills to identify, address, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies and regulations Contract Management
  • Proficient in understanding contracts and ensuring vendors are fulfilling requirements as defined in the contract documentation
  • Perform quality assessment on internal division artifacts and functions
  • Oversees the department’s deliverable management program.
  • Manages the requirements for the deliverable management tool and acts as the liaison between the MES core team and module and service vendors.
  • Communication and Professional interaction
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Efficiently scheduling and facilitating MES team meetings, documenting action items and producing meeting minutes
  • In-person and virtual engagements with vendor teams
  • Adequate knowledge and experience using virtual meeting platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom and Cisco Webex
  • Notifies MES team members about performance abnormalities and variances
  • Exceptional coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple job assignments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to communicate between stakeholders, developers, testers, project managers, program managers and program executives Program Office Support
  • Oversee SharePoint administration and aligns management processes with contractual specifications and statements of work (SOW)
  • Oversees the MES core team SharePoint document repositories, folders and list o Capable of identifying SharePoint improvement areas and provide orientation to MES team members o Responsible for establishing and implementing MES team social activities, facilitating status reporting and meeting coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 – 3 years of experience in Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build team rapport
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction from State or other team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure / to a deadline.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills.
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Word
    • Ability to develop document templates
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel
    • experience in complex formulas
  • • Advance skills in Microsoft Visio
    • ability to create charts and flow diagrams
  • Manages on and offboarding activities to include space allocation, orientation of new employees, and coordination with PMO services team
  • Ability to prepare guides, policies and memorandums
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and IT support frameworks
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and tools.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Computer Science, IT Management or related field

Education Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or IT related field
