 Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

The Department is in need of staff augmentation services, that specialize in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in support of the Division’s testing activities. 
1. Testing Plan –Finalize the Testing Plan

  • Review of the draft Testing Plan.
  • Work with the Business Process Consultant and Division staff to develop and recommend changes to the Testing Plan.
  • Work with the Business Process Consultant and Division staff to present to the Division team a recommended testing strategy, incorporating best practices and strategies.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to establish readiness for testing and timing for their business and enterprise systems business process validations.

2. Prepare UAT testing scripts –Inventory of Test Cases

Review the major operational responsibilities of the Division to support and help staff create UAT test scripts, and Test Scripts created by the Quality Assurance Manager must include:

  • Test scenarios to support each test case, and templates to identify the data necessary to execute the testing.
  • Assist the Business Process Consultant with creating test scripts as needed.
  • Review all test scripts created to ensure they meet Division requirements.
  • Create inventory of test scripts.
  • Prioritize the order of execution of test scripts to ensure critical processes are fully tested and dependencies are considered.

6. Coordinate Division testing activities – Results of testing activities

  • Serve in a leadership capacity as the Division Testing Coordinator.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in ERP/People Soft functionality to promote efficiency, identify and mitigate potential challenges and impart understanding to Division UAT participants.
  • Assist and coordinate the execution of the approved Testing Plan.
  • Confirm that the  Testing Plan is executed and that all results are reviewed and recorded.
  • Provide daily updates to the Division regarding test results.
  • Coordinate Division defect reporting and resolution activities.
  • Provide a copy of recorded test results to the Division. 

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of systems development and business experience.
  • Experience in developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems.
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior management, supervisory or team leader experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with State government
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft and with PeopleTools 8.59+
  • Experience with interface, and end-to-end, parallel and user acceptance testing
  • Experience working with functional owner of a business process/system to communicate and clarify customer requirements, processes and understanding of technical concepts
  • Experience working under the direction of senior-level management
  • Experience managing supervisors, project leads, and/or technical staff
  • Knowledge of business processes related to accounting, payroll, or financial management
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform tasks on-site at DFS locations
  • Certified PMP

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related fields or relevant experience is required.
