 Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Applications Development Analyst, Advanced for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

Required Duties and Responsibilities of Consultant shall include but are not limited to:

  • ABAP programming
  • Provide analysis and systems support.
  • Conduct reviews of functional specifications
  • Develop/ implement technical specifications, design diagrams, landscape blueprints.
  • Participate in ABAP code reviews.
  • Develop and maintain SAP modules FI/CA, SD, BW
  • Meet with Functional Staff to explain program functionality.
  • Mentor less experienced Career Service ABAP programmers.
  • Generate OSS notes requesting assistance from SAP headquarters.
  • Research SAP documentation for solutions to reported problems.
  • Design, code, unit test, debug and implement SAP ABAP applications while working closely with business analysts.
  • Work with business analysts to review functional specifications and create technical design specifications.
  • Provide technical development effort estimates based on functional specifications/business requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in programming SAP ABAP S/4 (FI/CA, FI, MD, SD, GL modules) with SAP ECC 6.0 or higher 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of SAP ABAP work experience in design, coding, implementation, upgrades and maintenance
  • Experience working with the SAP ECC Sales and Distribution (SD), Financial (FI) and General Ledger (GL) modules and other ECC technical environments.
  • Experience extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP objects and other modern SAP technologies.
  • Experience with REST Web Services
  • Experience in SAP Portal development and Portal upgrades.
  • Experience leading IT projects.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and follow-up activities.
  • Experience with ABAP Object-Oriented Programming
  • Experience with Adobe Forms, Smartforms, Print Workbench, and/or SAP Script. 3
  • Experience with Web Dynpro ABAP/Java 
  • Experience with cloud development.
  • Experience with custom user exits, complex report programming, batch jobs, BADIs, implicit and explicit enhancements.
  • Experience scheduling/maintaining batch jobs and analyzing performance. 
  • Experience developing custom applications using module pool programming flow logic and screen painter. 
  • Experience writing performance effective interface and conversion programs handling high data volumes.
  • Excellent ABAP SQL skills including complex joins.
  • Experience coordinating customer requirements and gathering requirements.
  • Experience writing technical specifications and design flows.
  • Experience analyzing and researching SAP KBAs to find software solutions.
  • Experience in ABAP debugging, performance analysis using Trace tools, Runtime analysis, Code Inspector and other tools.
  • Good understanding of SAP ECC functional configuration
  • Preferred experience with upgrading SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP HANA or S/4 HANA
  • Familiarity with Native HANA transports, XS engine, web applications
  • Preferred experience in the Business Rules Framework (BRF) and BRF Plus
  • Ability to plan, organize, document and coordinate work assignments. 
  • Technical Leadership Experience implementing SAP S/4 HANA using the Brownfield approach. 
  • Communication skills exchanging technical information with external organizations. 
  • Technical Experience in SAP Business Data Toolset (BDT).
  • Technical Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Experience in the design and development process of archiving SAP Data.
  • Experience in Application Programming Interface (API) Development with Gateway Services and newer technology. 
  • Experience in design and development of custom and standard Fiori Applications using Fiori Elements. 
  • Proficient in SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Cockpit.
  • Experience in creation and deployment of SAP Fiori Apps using BAS on BTP to S/4HANA System.
  • Technical hands-on experience in SAP ECC FI-CA (Finance and Contract Accounting): Business Partner Maintenance, Contract Account Maintenance, Sales Order Maintenance, Dunning, Reconciliation, and General Ledger Accounting. 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Software Engineering, or another related field.
